Chris Ferreira, Director
Chris, as Director of Landcare Solutions, will oversee and lead the Great Gardens team. Chris has a solid background in environmental science and has emerged as a leading authority on sustainable living in the public eye with regular roles on 720 ABC Radio and Channel Nine. He currently works in an advisory capacity on a range of high profile and award winning projects:
Great Gardens: Chris is co-founder of the award winning Great Gardens program, which is the largest free community education scheme in Australia. Great Gardens has been delivering workshops since 2003 and has now reached more than 65,000 people across WA with sustainability messages, including the Riverwise, Fertiliser-wise message
Heavenly Hectares: Chris provides workshops to the rural community on sustainable land management, (including a dedicated Heavenly Hectares project with The Swan River Trust in 2010 specifically focussing on nutrient management in the Swan-Canning Riverpark catchment) and the project now features a book of the same name which is awaiting publication in 2011

This established media presence adds significant value to the Great Gardens program by providing opportunities to promote key Great Gardens messages on a larger scale than ever before and by attracting a wider audience of people through public recognition.
Chris is responsible and accountable for the delivery of all services provided under the Customer Contract. On a day-to-day level, the Director oversees up to 48% of the stated Work Components (11 of 23 Work Components) set out in Table 2 above. Chris will remain in the Director role for the duration of the Term of the Customer Contract and will, at all times, remain fully and wholly accountable for the delivery of the Great Gardens and other associated programs operated by Landcare Solutions.
