Judith is one of Western Australia’s best known criminal lawyers, an expert in forensic science, and an internationally known jury researcher. Judith’s research into the “CSI Effect” and jury intimidation has stirred intense media interest particularly as Judith has secured unprecedented access to jurors for post trial interviews. It is usually illegal to approach jurors but personal permission from the W.A. Attorney General, has given her a rare insight into their deliberations. Judith regularly lectures in evidence to detectives at the WA Police Academy and in expert evidence to police forensic training courses. She gives guest lectures , including the Australian College of Legal Medicine, WA and Queensland Police fingerprint, blood spatter and other analysts and WA and Queensland forensic scientists. She has also lectured and spoken internationally in the UK and US on the CSI Effect, Shaken Baby Syndrome and her jury research. Throughout her career Judith has assisted police in the investigation and prosecution of criminal offences. Her science training and current work gives her a special interest and expertise in forensic science.
