In 1991 Griff made a commitment to make passive solar housing accessible and so established Solar Dwellings, a unique design and construction service for passive solar, energy efficient homes. Solar Dwellings now designs more passive solar homes than any other company in Australia from the carbon neutral office on Green Street in Mount Hawthorn.
In 2004 Griff was announced HIA GreenSmart Professional of the Year.
