John Harman has written for a living all his working life and is a published novelist, non-fiction author, scriptwriter, ghost-writer and teacher of creative writing skills. Born in London, John worked first in advertising then later as a journalist. He enjoyed early success as a television scriptwriter and filmmaker before becoming a full-time author of several novels and works of non-fiction.
John has been commissioned to write a number of corporate histories and biographies as well as being employed as a ghost-writer for autobiographies and other books for minor celebrities politicians and businessmen. He has lectured extensively on creative writing in the UK and in America.
Since coming to Western Australia, John has been appointed an adjunct Senior Lecturer at Edith Cowan University and conducts regular writing courses, including for the University of Western Australia’s Extension Schools.
