UWA Claremont
UWA Extension offers a flexible range of training and function venues in a unique heritage environment.
Facilities available for hire include high quality seminar rooms, a boutique 98-seat lecture theatre with
performance stage, and a boardroom for intimate functions. The landscaped grounds provide picturesque
settings for outdoor events, and wedding photography.

Where you can find us
The UWA Extension offices and venues are located on the UWA Claremont campus. Situated on the corner of Princess and Goldsworthy Roads. UWA Claremont is within walking distance from buses and the Claremont train station.
Venue hire
Hire times
UWA Extension venues are available to hire at the following times:
-Full day 8:30am-4:30pm
-Half day 8:30am-12:30pm or 12:30-4:30pm

Please note all rooms are set up in a classroom style. If alternative set up is required a surcharge of
$50.00 is applicable if alternative seating/set up is required.
Parking
Plenty of parking is available at UWA Claremont and parking signs must be observed in all campus carparks.
During business hours, paid parking is available on site in Car park 2 Long Term (9P) parking at $1.50 per hour to a maximum of $10.00. Parking is free of charge after 5pm on weekdays and all day on weekends in the University car parks. Local signs and residents must be respected in relation to street parking.

The room rate for UWA Claremont venues includes the use of permanently-installed audio visual equipment.
Audio visual information or additional equipment may be requested directly through the Audio Visual Unit on 6488 2026.
A minimum 24 hours notice is required for booking audio visual equipment.
Furniture and equipment must not be moved without the permission of the UWA Extension office.
If permission to move furniture or equipment is given by the UWA Extension Office it will be on the understanding that the furniture and equipment will be returned to the same position as before the event. The Hirer will bear any charges incurred if a venue needs to be reconfigured once the event has concluded.
Furniture and equipment may not be moved outside the venue. The hirer will bear any repair or
replacement costs if furniture or equipment is damaged during an event.
UWA Claremont venues are cleaned by University cleaning contractors only once a day Monday-Friday (early morning). Hirers are responsible for leaving the venue clean and tidy after their event. The hirer will incur additional cleaning costs if a venue is not left cleaned and tidy at the end of an event. Additional Cleaning is charged at $44/hr (incl. GST) on weekdays and $150/hr (incl. GST) on weekends and may attract a minimum call out fee.
Room configurations
UWA Claremont rooms are set in classroom style however seating can be customised to suit your course or event. Please note that some seating configurations may limit the capacity of the venue. If you would like us to arrange alternative seating then a $50 surcharge will apply.
All classroom desks seat three people to a desk.
U-Shape
Popular for small groups in which open discussion and interaction is encouraged. Good visual access to data projection and presentations. This style may restrict the room capacity.Boardroom
Ideal for small groups where close interaction and a lot of discussion are expected. Participants can see and hear each other easily.Cafe
Tables arranged into groups seating 4 to 6 people. Allows group participation, discussions and projects.Classroom
Classroom style is the standard layout for all UWA Claremont rooms. This seating arrangement allows many people to fit comfortably in a room. It is a well-used setup and is effective for communication in a learning environment. The classroom style setup provides a work surface for note taking and is ideal for audiovisual presentations and lecture style programs. Best for large groupsTheatre
