Enrolment Process for Online Courses

How do I register to take a course?

There are three steps you will need to take in order to complete the enrolment procedure and start the course.

When all steps have been completed you will be able to start your course on or after the start date (you cannot start earlier, but you can catch up if you start late).

1.  Access the website: http://www.ed2go.com/uwaext and click the "Courses" link.

Choose the category, and then the course you wish to complete and then click  "Enroll Now". Select a start date, then click the "Continue" button. You will be required to enter (if existing), or create a User ID and a password, and you will need to complete your Account Profile before selecting the "Submit" button. Thereafter, you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration and Username, and asking you to submit payment to UWA Extension.

2.  Make your payment by following the payment instructions given in this email message.

3.  When your course starts, return to the Online Instruction Centre at http://www.ed2go.com/uwaext and click the "Classroom" link at the top or bottom of the page, and log in with your username and password to begin your studies.

Important Notes:

1. Our courses are conducted through an online classroom. You will need to go to this classroom to obtain your lessons, work through tutorials, take quizzes, complete assignments, participate in discussions with your fellow students, and ask questions of your instructor. The Online Instruction Centre is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so please feel free to log in to your classroom at any time of day that is most convenient for you.

2. These courses are hosted by our partners in the USA, and all course dates given are US time. Due to the large time difference in Australia you should add one day to all times ie advertised start date on web is 9 August, actual start in Australia is 10 August (5pm).

3. If you are unable to access your course within three days of the advertised course start date, please email extension@uwa.edu.au or call 6488 2433, as there may be a problem.

4. If you have enrolled for more than one course and only paid for one, please advise which course you wish to take.

5. Please make sure that you are ready to take the course. Courses should be completed during the two week period following release of the final lesson by completing the final exam. However, students can apply online for a further 10 days extension if it is necessary. PLEASE NOTE that once a course fee has been paid and the course has started, it will not be possible to postpone the course or cancel and refund unless there are exceptional circumstances (eg, illness). Should this occur IT IS ESSENTIAL TO ADVISE UWA EXTENSION AT THE EARLIEST OPPORTUNITY.

6. Two lessons are released each week for the six-week duration of the course. You do not have to be present when the lesson is released, but you must complete each lesson within two weeks of its release. A new section of each course starts on the second or third Wednesday of each month. If enrolling in a series of two or more courses, please be sure to space the start date for each course at least two months apart.

7. At the end of the course, and providing you obtain a score exceeding 64% in your final multiple choice exam, you will be offered the opportunity to download and print an Online Certificate.
