What is ACCESS UWA?
ACCESS UWA is for anyone wanting to enrol in a unit or units at The University of Western Australia. It is open to just about everyone and offers flexible alternatives to full participation in a credit course.

What can I study?
The University of Western Australia has an international reputation for excellence and is committed to providing high quality teaching and learning activities in diverse fields. A wide variety of units currently taught at UWA are available to be studied through the ACCESS UWA program.

What type of enrolment does ACCESS UWA offer?
There are two enrolment categories with ACCESS UWA.

Continuing Education Students – Assessed
This category is for students who wish to attend lectures, tutorials, seminars, and laboratory sessions and undertake final assessments.

Students who are enrolled under Continuing Education are issued with a student number and a UWA Campus Card. This enrolment also includes access to all UWA Library resources and you may apply for a Statement of Academic Record.

Audit Students – Non-assessed
This category is for students wishing to attend lectures without participating in tutorials, fulfilling any practical requirements, undertaking assignments or examinations.

Audit students are not eligible to participate in LOTE (Language Other Than English) units. Limited access to UWA Library resources is available for a fee through the UWA Library Community Membership. Please note that at this time access to Course Materials Online (CMO) will not be available.
