ACCESS UWA
Experience university life with Access UWA
The ACCESS UWA program offers you the opportunity to attend
The University of Western Australia on your own terms. Study
without the commitment of a degree-either choosing to upgrade
your qualifications, soak up some knowledge, or attend for
your own enjoyment. There are no entrance requirements for
ACCESS UWA students.
THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO PARTICIPATE
IN ACCESS UWA
As an AUDIT Student
You will attend lectures only, without attending tutorials,
undertaking assignments or fulfilling any practical requirements.
As a CONTINUING EDUCATION Student
You will attend lectures, tutorials, seminars, practical sessions,
etc., and undertake all forms of assessment.Credit towards
a degree may be granted to a maximum of 24 points if a Continuing
Education student is successful in gaining admission to a
degree course. The decision to grant credit is at the discretion
of the Dean of Faculty.
CERTIFICATE OF HIGHER EDUCATION
The Certificate of Higher Education is a new addition to the ACCESS UWA programme. After completion of 48 credit points, you will be awarded the Certificate of higher Education. This provides recognition of study to Continuing Education students, including those not qualified for entry to undergraduate courses and those who have not studied formally.
