HOW DO I APPLY?

Am I eligible?
Any person who is an Australian citizen or has an Australian Residency Permit is eligible to apply to study through the ACCESS UWA program. Acceptance is subject to availability of places in the unit, the approval of the relevant Faculty Advisor and the Statutes and Regulations of The University of Western Australia. Where required, students must have completed the appropriate pre-requisite studies as set out in the Faculty Handbook. Faculty Advisors and Sub-Deans reserve the right not to accept an applicant.

How can I apply for ACCESS UWA?
Select your unit or units from the UWA Handbook and complete the application form. Forward the application form and payment to UWA Extension and we will do the rest. Once approval from the relevant Faculty is granted UWA Extension will post a Current Enrolment Statement to you.


Can I apply for admission to a degree course?

To be eligible to apply for admission to an undergraduate degree course on the basis of ACCESS UWA study at UWA, your results in these units must be sufficient to satisfy the relevant Faculty of your ability to complete the course successfully.
You will also need to demonstrate your English language competency and meet any prerequisites for your desired course.

UWA Extension administers a Maths Competency Test for students who need to meet particular unit requirements. Please refer to our website www.extension.uwa.edu.au or phone us on 6488 2433 for more information about test dates and procedures.
