UWA Extension

UWA Extension is part of the community outreach of The University of Western Australia. We are a leading provider of lifelong learning opportunities in a diverse range of community, workplace and professional education.

Our philosophy is to develop the whole person. We are particularly proud of our Visiting Speakers program, which has included Dr David Suzuki, Hugh Mackay, Phillip Adams AO, Professor Germaine Greer and John Pilger, as well as programs in the area of Intellectual Adventures, which are unique in Western Australia to UWA Extension.

There are no pre-requisites for our community courses, which offer programs in topics as broad as Music and Song, Languages, Writing and Communication, Food and Wine, House and Garden, Travel, Health and Wellness, Mind, Body and Spirit and Contemporary Living.   

Our Working Life programs offer public as well as tailored in-house training for the corporate, professional and government sectors in the areas of Leadership and Management, Computing and Business Development.

Customised study tours for visiting international clients combine executive and management level seminars, industry site visits and trade facilitation meetings with superb cultural tourism experiences.

UWA Extension is the largest provider of adult and continuing education in Western Australia and has operated since the University of Western Australia's inception in 1913.
